You begin looking at an abstract work and after some time you wonder: “who said it’s abstract?” They are surprisingly three dimensional, they invite you in & as soon as you step in there – you get lost, making your way through the head- spinning labyrinths. You will always know where the top & where the bottom of the painting is in Vitkovsky’s abstracts and you always feel like if given a couple more seconds to look, you will see exactly what it is there hidden in the abstract form.
